Caddis Larva – Tan

Caddis larvae are an easily overlooked but important part of a trout’s diet on many streams and rivers. Green and Tan caddis in particular are often found in fast riffles in small- to medium-sized streams. When the caddis hatch starts don’t just rely on a caddis dry fly (Elk hair caddis).  When the hatch starts all stages of the caddis fly are active and the caddis larva is easy pickings for the trout.  Tie one on as the trailing fly with your Elk Hair caddis dry as your indicator.
